Golan students in the Syrian universities stressed interest in continuing educational attainment and attachment to the Syrian identity, expressing utter rejection of Israeli practices in the Syrian Golan. Meeting Quneitra governor Maan Salaheddin on Saturday, the students voiced appreciation for the advantages granted to them at state universities, namely the free education and freedom to choose the specialization they want regardless of the high school average. Head of the administrative committee of the Golan students, Zaki al-Khatib, from the occupied village of al-Ghajar, conveyed the Golan students' pride in the seal on their university certificate, affirming Golan people's resolve to stand up to Israeli practices. Amal Monzer, a student from Ein Qenieh, conveyed the love of Golan people to ''every single grain of the Syrian land'', voicing pride in the Syrian army; the defender of the homeland. Quneitra governor emphasized the role of Golan students and their resolve to go ahead with their education in Syrian universities as a manifestation of unbreakable attachment to their homeland. The Syrian students who have lately enrolled in the Syrian universities have a noble message and embody the utmost defiance of the Zionist entity that seeks to distort Arab culture, the governor pointed out.
