The University of Bahrain (UoB)'s Chancellor, Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Janahi, emphasized the essence of extending bridges of cooperation with friendly countries in the field of higher education and spreading knowledge, emanating from the UoB's realization of its role in the community as the a cornerstone in boosting development process and developing students faculties who constitute the Kingdom of Bahrain's youthful energies and its future. The UoB's Chancellor met with the Ambassador of the friendly Chinese People's Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E. Mr. Li Xin ahead of preparations for the launching of the Confucius Center for Chinese language and academic affairs in the University of Bahrain's campus. The Center focuses on Chinese cultural, linguistic and sociological studies and teaches Chinese language. The UoB's Chancellor and the Chinese Ambassador signed the launching agreement for this center which will be a non-profit-making organization to develop friendship between the two friendly peoples. To boost the University of Bahrain's cooperation relations with universities in the Chinese People's Republic, Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Janahai will answer invitation extended to attend the second seminar organized by chancellors of Chinese-Arab universities . The first seminar was organized in 2011. This year's seminar is themed: (Fruitful cooperation for the sake of the future).
