The University of Bahrain (UoB) students marathon team won top position among universities and schools in the Bahrain Relay Marathon 2013 and the 14th overall position among 146 participating teams from the public and private sectors. The University's Dean of Education and Physiotherapy College, Dr. Mona Saleh Al-Ansari, expressed her appreciation towards the efforts put in by participating students throughout the race, stressing that the university students accomplished a sports feat to be added to the list of accomplishments. The University's 14-member strong team finished the race in 3:19:00. The 49-kilometer, 16-lap Bahrain Relay Marathon Race is the longest in the Middle East has been organized for twenty-three years consecutively.
