Abu Dhabi Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in his capacity as President of Zayed University, has signed an agreement for establishing the Ahmad Siddiqi Arab language seat at Dh5 million. Shaikh Nahyan signed the agreement with Abdul Hameed Ahmad Siddiqi, who was representing Ahmad Siddiqi and Sons, to establish the Arabic Language seat to develop Arab Language curricula and encourage related studies and research. Shaikh Nahyan stressed the importance of staying in touch with the community and enhancing community support for the university. He said such initiatives would help further the goals of education and the process of preparing a generation prepared to shoulder responsibilities under the wise leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Shaikh Nahyan pointed out that education has become a necessity today and community members must come together to support and back this process to achieve desired development and prosperity.Shaikh Nahyan lauded Zayed University for constantly striving to measure up as an international educational establishment by all standards, not only through its programmes and activities but also through its solidarity with the community and its total devotion to serving the community in the best possible manner. Ahmad Siddiqi on his part praised Shaikh Nahyan and the great role played by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to match international standards.from gulf news.
