The American University of Kuwait (AUK) held a graduation ceremony of the class of 2012, with 430 students recieving their graduation certificates at Kuwait International Fairgrounds (KIF) in Mishref. AUK is a great importance to the Kuwaiti society, which provides a distinctive role in free art and science for the new generation of Kuwaiti students and residents, said AUK President Dr. Winfred Thompson in the opening of ceremony. The university's chief professor welcomed the students and their families to the ceremony, while commending the role of AUK staff in the education process For her part, Carol Ross-Scott, Vice President for Administrative and Student Affairs confirmed the importance to pursue goals with hard work. AUK is the first private university opened in Kuwait in collaboration with the American Dartmouth University.
