Gujarat University (GU) officials released on Tuesday a tentative schedule of the university exams. GU vice-chancellor M N Patelsaid that GU has declared holiday on three days — April 29, 30 and May 1 — in the wake of Lok Sabha elections. Gujarat goes to polls on April 30. GU officials said that the exams will begin with the BEd semester-II exams which will be held from April 10. From April 12, semester-VI exams of BA, BCom, BSc, BBA and BCA will begin. The next phase of exams will begin from April 24 where semester-IV exams of MA, MCom, MSc will be held. The semester IV exams of BA — both regular and internal — BCom, BBA, BCA will also begin from the same date. Exams of second semester of BSc will begin from April 24. After this, the GU exam officials have kept a break keeping the LS polls in mind as the staff of the university will be deputed for poll-duty training. After three-day break, the last phase of exams will begin from May 8 where semester-II exams of BA, BCom, MEd, MSc, semester-IV exams of BSc and semester I, II, III exams of LLM will be held. The officials said that colleges have been asked to finalize the schedule of the practical exams. Source: Education News
