UAE University (UAEU) and Jeju National University of South Korea signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Sunday to develop and promote cultural and scientific exchanges between the two universities.
The MoU calls for mutual cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research between the two universities, in a bid to promote scientific research and educational objectives in strategic sectors. It also aims to enhance cultural and scientific communications through academic training programmes for students, and exchange programmes for science students, as well as scientific and applied research of national priority for both universities in the field of information technology, engineering, water and energy.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Professor Ghaleb Ali Al Hadrami Al Breiki, Deputy Vice Chancellor of UAEU for Research and Graduate Studies, and Dr. Huh Hyangjin, President, Jeju National University and his accompanying delegation.
Al Hadrami noted, "The agreement is the fruit of cooperation between the UAEU and Jeju University, and aims to boost cultural and scientific exchanges."
The Korean delegation visited different departments at UAEU, where they were briefed on activities that enrich the educational environment and boost innovation. They expressed their admiration about the UAEU’s campus
