Two bodies found along the Rouge River in Detroit's West Side Sunday were believed to be those of two Hamtramck women abducted last month, police said. "We have unearthed from a shallow grave the bodies of two females who fit the description of the two young ladies we've been looking for," Detroit Police Chief Ralph Godbee said. A burned-out car believed to have been used in the kidnapping was found not far from the bodies, Detroit's WDIV-TV reported. Ashley Conaway, 22, and her friend, Abreeya Brown, 18, were kidnapped at gunpoint in Hamtramck Feb. 28, put into a trunk and driven away, the Detroit Free Press said. Two men, Brandon Cain, 26, and Brian Lee, 24, are being held on attempted murder charges for a Feb. 8 shooting involving both women, the newspaper said. WDIV-TV said Conaway had dated Cain but broke off the relationship. Cain allegedly offered both women $5,000 not to go to police but they refused and both were kidnapped, the TV station said.
