A Danish woman allegedly was raped at knife point after becoming lost returning to her hotel in Paharganj, a neighborhood in central Delhi, India, police said. Police said the woman said she was raped, robbed and beaten by a gang of eight men Tuesday before they abandoned her, NDTV reported Wednesday. The woman took an auto-rickshaw to her hotel where the owner phoned the police. "When she came, she was crying and not in good shape," hotel owner Amit Bahl said. The woman had approached the group near the New Delhi Railway Station to ask for directions, police said. The 51-year-old woman left India for Copenhagen Wednesday and refused to undergo a medical test, police said. The eight alleged assailants have been identified, a police source told NDTV. The Times of India reported six suspects have been detained. Several weeks ago, NDTV said, a Polish woman said she was drugged and raped by a taxi driver while traveling with her 2-year-old daughter to New Delhi.
