The Supreme Council for Women has received a delegation from the 2018 Election Committee that set up online platforms for the employees to check their registration status and information about their polling stations.
The visit is part of the direct contacts that the committee is having with eligible voters in various institutions in Bahrain during the days accorded to check names and details on voter lists ahead of the parliamentary and municipal elections.
It is also supported by the Supreme Council for Women as it boosts its endeavours to raise awareness about the significance of exercising constitutional rights and participating in the quadrennial elections.
The Council expressed the digital developments undertaken by the Election Committee to ensure ease and comfort for eligible voters in casting their ballots.
The parliamentary and municipal elections will be held on November 24 and, in the cases of second rounds in constituencies with no clear winner, on December 1.
Bahrain has held parliamentary and municipal elections in 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014 following the promulgation of the constitution that gave women the right to run as candidates and to vote.
