He reiterated the need to simplify all the necessary procedures to facilitate the exchange of technical and economic expertise and boost tourism between the two countries, pointing out the important role and position that China held at the world stage. The minister noted that the Syrian crisis and the increasing daily flow of Syrian refugees into the Kingdom have led to some tough circumstances for Jordan's economic, educational, health, infrastructure, energy, water and labor sectors, especially in areas hosting refugees. Majali urged the international community to focus on the communities hosting the refugees by establishing productive projects in these areas to alleviate their suffering and enable them to perform their humanitarian role as far as refugees were concerned. On his part, the Chinese ambassador stressed his country's interest in improving bilateral ties in all fields, and praised Jordan's decision to host the Syrian refugees despite the hardships and the economic challenges it had to contend with.
