Egypt's Ambassador here Hesham El-Zemeti said the embassy organized a forum for the Japanese Women's Business Association to promote for investment in Egypt with the participation of more than 70 figures of the Japanese business society.
In statements on Monday, Zemeti said the forum was organized few days after a meeting between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abi on the fringe of the UN General Assembly meetings as they agreed on doubling the volume of Japanese investments in Egypt.
The ambassador said he has reviewed during the forum the historic relations binding the two countries, noting that Egypt is willing to push forward bilteral relations in the economic, investment and tourism domains.
The ambassador also highlighted the invitation made by Sisi to the Japanese business society to invest in Egypt.
He also reviewed the privileges of investing in Egypt which has a strategic and distinguished position and considered as a gate to Arab and African markets.
The ambassador also expounded the mega projects which are currently being implemented by Egypt such as the Suez Canal Corridor Development project.
