Jeddah - Arabstoday

The young businesswomen’s committee at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) has singed a memorandum of understanding with the Al-Aghar Group. The agreement aims to initiate cooperation in drawing up a complete agenda for the "Jeddah Entrepreneurs meet 2012." Te two bodies will also set up a competitive training program titled "Jeddah initiators”. JCCI Secretary-General Adnan Mandoura and Al-Aghar Group CEO Fahad Abu Al-Nasr signed the deal. Al-Aghar will provide training on innovative business strategies for young Saudi women and will create a channel for discussion among new business owners, funding groups, commercial bodies and government bodies. The secretary-general said the meeting of entrepreneurs would be an annual event. It would include the "Jeddah initiators" training program as part of efforts to build up "knowledgeable communities" that could contribute to social and economic development. The business committee, he said, would introduce long-term processes to enhance project development. Rania Salama, head of the young businesswomen’s committee, said young businesswomen faced challenges in finding financing sources. They also need support to learn more competitive skills.
