NIHR chief receives UN CRC member.

National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Chairperson, Maria Khoury has received here independent expert at the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC), Amal Salman Al-Dosari.
Khoury lauded the prominent role played by Al-Dosari at the CRC, and its efforts in the fields of childhood and youth.
She affirmed that child rights are an integral part of human rights, and are guaranteed by various local laws and international conventions, noting that Bahrain has codified child rights through the issuance of many decrees and laws.
She asserted that the NIHR is committed to following up on the implementation of the articles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child by state departments, in line with its mandate stipulated by its establishment law and in accordance with the Paris Principles.
Al-Dosari expressed thanks and appreciation to the NIHR chief for the meeting, praising the great and important role played by the NIHR.
She stressed the need to enhance cooperation between the two sides to achieve common goals.
