Activist and former MP candidate for the Kuwaiti National Assembly, Salwa Al Mutairi, continued to surprise us when she revealed that she has come up with a recipe for “Islamic Whisky.” In an interview with Kuwaiti newspaper “Al Seyassah”, Salwa commented: “I have come up with a magical mixture of herbs that brings joy, pleasure, and happiness to those who drink it.” she described it as “Islamic alcohol”, and assured us that the mixture is currently at the laboratory of the Ministry of the Municipality awaiting test results and the go-ahead so she can begin production and distribution in stores. Salwa says that the new “whisky’ will be made out of a mixture of natural herbs such as sage, aniseed, mint, and darseen, in addition to other herbs, that are tasty and calm the nerves. She claimed that you only have to drink one cup to feel happy and calm, stating: “that is why I named it the ‘alcohol of joy’”. She is also inventing a “cigarette of happiness”, which she says is made of a mixture of natural herbs and smells like incense. She says that when you smoke it you feel happy and optimistic and your breath smell nicer, unlike the effects of normal cigarettes. The activist previously suggested the idea of what she calls a “social diary”, which would set a legal age for buying Harems and handsome men from Muslim countries, who would possess specific characteristics, and who would technically be like slaves. She claimed that this type of activity would do away with spinsters in Kuwait, and reduce the number of divorces. Salwa has even put forward the idea of opening of a “Harems” office in Kuwait.
