Sandra Bullock
London - UPI

Sandra Bullock, 50, may be People's Most Beautiful Woman, but that isn't stopping the actress from using the award as a platform.

In a recent sit down with E! News, the actress spoke out about the media's treatment of women. "I feel like it's become open hunting season and how women are attacked and it's because of who we are as people but because of how we look or our age," she said.

Bullock said she is shocked and embarrassed by it. The mother of one talked about how she's trying to raise a son who values and appreciates women.

While Bullock is mother to a 5-year-old son, she talked about girls and the trouble they face in the world. Bullock specifically mentioned the online bullying little girls face, saying, "Someone with a very large hand and big voice has to put a stop to it."

Though this isn't the first time the Oscar-winning actress has spoken out about the media's treatment of women. During the London premiere of Minions, she talked about the way women were treated in the media and used her platform to empower young woman.

Bullock said during the red carpet interview that she wants to use the platform to talk about women in media and how they band together when they come under attack.

While she may star as a villain in the Despicable Me prequel, Bullock is showing she has a lot more planned with her title as Most Beautiful Woman.
