President of the Kuwait Association for the Ideal Family Sheikha Fariha Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said "the ideal mother award" has yielded tangible results in terms of promoting family awareness and violence renunciation. Sheikha Fariha, speaking during a ceremony for the award distribution, held late on Friday, said the award came as a fruit of diligent efforts by relevant authorities and coordination with foundations that care for cases of special needs. "Voluntary work, undoubtedly, boosts states' progress and prosperity and enriches social, scientific, cultural activities," she said, adding that it also cement bonds among family members, citizens and contributes to the country's development. She expressed pride for honoring the Kuwaiti, Gulf and Arab ideal mothers for their noticeable contributions to the society development. Saleh Al-Naham, the society advisor, noted that Islam encourages honoring and caring for mothers. For their part, Sheikha Besma Al-Sabah, the general supervisor of the ceremony, and Sheikha Dr. Maimouna Al-Sabah, praised the honoring activities for the mothers, noting their vital role in the next generations' upbringing.
