In the framework of celebrating Bahraini Women’s Day 2013 in regard of Women and Media, the Supreme Council for Women continues in promoting for the Media Rally Competition aiming at contributing in the revitalization of the effective media production which is considered the drive for women’s issues. The participation will be through enriching the various media areas to be a motive in elevating the media content which addresses women’s issues and rights in all fields to enhance a tangible development in the media field directed to women and society with all its components, and in achieving the aims of the national plan for the strategy of elevating Bahraini Women. The Council has already announced earlier that the competition aims at raising the competitive spirit of those working and concerned with the media field of Women’s issues, encouraging creative media cadres to adopt women’s issues and reinforce partnership in the media area between individuals and institutions through supporting pioneering initiatives directed to women. The competition also aims at providing a data base of the talents, distinctive competencies, and the media contents directed to women, in addition to reinforcing the positive image of women in media means. The Supreme Council for Women has allocated encouraging rewards for the winning works of about 10,000 Bahraini Dinars for all the Rally fields distributed among four areas: the readable media 2000 dinars, visual media 4000 dinars, audio media 2000 dinars and social media 2000 dinars. The Supreme Council for Women invited all working and concerned with the media field directed to women (both genders) and all various age groups to participate in the competition, which addresses issues like family stability, equal opportunities, women’s education, women’s health, and empowering women on condition that the participation should be handed over not later than September 30th 2013.
