A 52-year-old woman fell 25 to 30 feet to her death Sunday afternoon while climbing at a gym in Grapevine, Texas, police said. The accident occurred about 5 p.m. local time at Summit Climbing Gym, The Dallas Morning News reported. Her name had not been released. Police Sgt. Robert Eberling said the woman apparently lost her grip while climbing with a friend, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. "It appears to be an accident," Eberling said. "The gym was closed during our investigation." The newspaper said it had been unable to reach officials from the gym.
