An Iraqi woman in her fifties, who is a mother of three, plunged to her death after falling from the 17th floor of Al Magaz tower in Sharjah on Friday evening. According to a Sharjah Police official, the operations rooms of Sharjah Police received a call at around 7.30 pm on Friday regarding the tragic death of a 51-year-old Iraqi woman whose body was found in a pool of blood under the building where she lived with her family. “The woman fell from a high elevated floor leading to her immediate death even before the arrival of the police and the ambulance. The main cause of the death is still unknown but suicide motive is not ruled out,” he said. The deceased’s body was immediately transferred to the forensic laboratory of Sharjah Police for examination and to find out the main reason leading to her death. Investigations are on to find out more details about the deceased who lived in this building for more than one year and three months. Watchmen of the building and neighbouring highrises were seen cleaning up the blood splattered in front of the entrance to the building. The official expressed his concern at such acts. “Suicide should never be an option to end one’s suffering and any problem can be dealt with by approaching specialists rather than killing oneself in a way that leaves a deep and permanent wound in the hearts of their loved ones,” the official added.
