Ukrainian ex-prime minister Yulia Timoshenko needs urgent surgery, her daughter Yevgeniya told journalists on Monday. Yevgeniya Timoshenko referred to doctors’ recommendations by the Berlin’s Charite. She said: “Doctors recommend surgery for my mother due to new back pains caused by hernia. The surgery may prevent back pains in the future.” Timoshenko’s daughter also said if the surgery was conducted, doctors did not rule out the disability status for Timoshenko. At present, the ex-prime minister cannot move with the walkers, Yevgeniya added. Timoshenko served the 7-year punishment for exceeding the powers while signing the gas agreement with Russia in 2009.
