His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday commended the Public Security Department (PSD) for keeping abreast of the latest methods in fighting crime and utilising modern technologies in its work. During a visit to the PSD, the King, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, was briefed by its director general, Gen. Hussein Majali, on the steps taken by the PSD to combat crime, particularly drug and electronic crimes, a Royal Court statement said. His Majesty directed the PSD to put its human and technical resources at the disposal of all ministries and public institutions that deal directly with citizens. He underlined the need for everyone to work together to enhance the values of citizenship, democracy and justice, achieve the rule of law, enrich the spirit of teamwork and protect the Kingdom’s accomplishments. King Abdullah also commended the PSD personnel’s efforts in maintaining the Kingdom’ security and stability.
