The Electronic Government Authority (EGA) hosted an international delegation comprising members from fifteen countries in a week-long visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain defrayed by the United Nations (UN) Economic and Social Affairs Department. The visit aims to avail of Bahrain's expertise in developing outstanding e-government initiatives and public services. EGA CEO Mohammed Ali Al-Qaed who welcomed the visiting delegation, and said that the meeting was an opportunity to communicate and view optimum experiences.Bahrain has been chosen as a role model for other countries which is undoubtedly the source of the Kingdom's pride in view of the pioneering initiatives of EGA and the Public Service.The delegation which already visited the EGA are also iteinerated to visit several other departments including the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Works, Public Administration Institute, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and several other bodies.The guests from Afghanistan, Australia, Armenia, Burundi, Ethiopia, Laos, Lesotho, Nepal, Rwanda, Sierra Leon, Solomon Islands, Tanzania, East Timor, Uganda, Zambia attended a special ceremony hosted in their honour.
