The 16th session of the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR) kicked off here on Thursday under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The opening session was attended by Egypt's Minister of Communications and Information Technology Yasser el Qady and Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union Houlin Zhao.
Two sessions will be held today on the internet uses and financial inclusion.
The four-day event will discuss a number of issues, atop of which are challenges facing the IT sector and financial Inclusion to create communities based on the digital economy.
Experts from almost 70 countries are taking part in the event.
