The delegation of the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) was the recipient of Japan Petroleum Institute's(JPI) Award for Invaluable International Cooperation at a ceremony held here for that occasion. KISR Director General Dr Naji Muhammad Al-Mutairi told KUNA that the award was given to KISR for its research cooperation with JPI in the field of refining crude oil. He indicated that KISR and JPI were working on 31 joint research projects. KISR executive for international cooperation and member of the visiting delegation to Japan Dr. Nader Al-Awadhi noted to KUNA that KISR cooperation with JPI went back over two decades and had been instrumental in the work carried out by KISR. This cooperation with JPI and with Japan Cooperation Center for Petroleum (JCCP) and other Japanese energy industries and organizations has resulted over time in up to now 61 joint Kuwait-Japanese meetings through conferences, seminars, forums, and workshops, said delegation member Dr. Mina Maarafi. She noted the great benefits KISR and the Kuwaiti oil industry have attained from this cooperation.
