Kuwaiti students to participate in the 5th Intel Science Competition Arab World 2014
Kuwait - KUNA

Kuwait Science Club (KSC) will take part in the 5th Intel Science Competition Arab World 2014 (ISC AW), to be held in Qatar, 9-11 November 2014.
The Club has nominated eight students, males and females, to represent Kuwait in the three-day major Arab event, head of the team to Qatar, Mohammad Al-Saffar, Executive Director of the Science and Engineering Competition, said in a press release on Friday.
The delegation will submit four scientific papers that won the second Science and Engineering Competition organized by KSC last year in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. The Competition was supported by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences.
One project addresses how school canteens can help in treating obesity, and a second is on pollution.
A poll on students' views on violence in the "student community" is the theme of the third paper while the fourth deals with impact of temperature on biofuel from mosses.
The ISC AW is an annual Pan Arab Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) competition for students in grades 9 to 12. It is held in Qatar for the first time, with participation of more than 100 students from 11 countries across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
