Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Saturday paid a visit to Information Technology Institute at the Smart Village and met with a number of youth trainees and inventors who have made magnificent achievements in the communications sector.
Mahlab was briefed by youths on a set of inventions they have already accomplished including a highly functional wheelchair for the disabled at affordable price.
The premier praised the achievements of youths and described them as "Egypt's real hope," noting that the communications and information technology are very important for Egypt at the current phase.
As many as 1,000 youths are currently receiving training at the Information Technology Institute, according to officials, while 7,000 youths have already been graduated so far.
