Malaysia is set to launch RazakSat-2, a remote sensing satellite to monitor the earth's surface in 2015, Malaysian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations announced Friday. Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry Abu Bakar Mohamad Diah told the press that the upgraded capabilities of the satellite, in terms of software and equipment, would help the Malaysian government to make the right decisions in the occurrences of natural disasters. "The satellite will be operated locally without any international help," he pointed out. Three or four years after the launch of Razakat-2, the ministry would yet launch its third satellite, he noted.
