Pakistan has become the ninth country in the world and the first in the Islamic one in genome mapping following the historical achievement of a group of Pakistani scientists who have succeeded in mapping the genome of the first Pakistani man living in Karachi. Karachi University's International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences Chairman Professor Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhry and his companion scientist Kamaran Azeem said that they spent $40,000 on this project. He said that this technique would not only make us able to diagnose different diseases but also facilitate in the treatment.
