Samsung Electronics Co., the world's largest flat-screen TV maker by shipments, said Tuesday that its products led African markets in the first half of 2011, helped by brisk sales of a new model designed specifically for emerging economies. Of all flat-screen TVs sold across the continent, Samsung products accounted for 33 percent in terms of units sold there, with its share reaching 37 percent in terms of value, the company said.
