Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Informatics Award will launch the first "tweeting" competition on Monday to encourage active and talented Arab tweeters and support creativity in the field. The Award Higher Organizing Committee member Bassam Al-Shimari said in a statement on Sunday that the competition will provide prizes worth USD 50,000 for top ten competitors with USD 5,000 for each, along with certificates signed by Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Award Sheikha Aida Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah. The competition is part of many Arab and international informatics events held by the Award body, said Al-Shimari.
