His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award is scheduled to announce winners' names of the award 14th session on Monday, following assessment of approximately 20,000 contesting websites and smart applications.
Bassam Al-Shemmari, member of the steering committee, said in a statement the judging council comprises 11 members from nine Arab countries. They include officials of four e-governments -- of the UAE, Oman, Kuwait and Jordan.
He hailed "the fatherly sponsorship" of the award by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Chief of the National Guards His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah.
Winners will be honored in a concluding ceremony, to be patronized by His Highness the Amir.
Judgment will be on bases of services, content, designing, applied technology, quality, coverage space, diversity of the e-sites and the smart apps.
