A new achievement by the Syrian Science Olympiad was made in Taiwan where the International Olympiad in Informatics wrapped up earlier today.
The national team earned a silver medal through member Hassan Jaddou’.
318 participants took part in the International Olympiad, which started on July 12.
The new medal is the second one as the Syrian Science Olympiad team previously won a silver medal and a Certificate of Appreciation in the Asian Pacific Mathematics Olympiad hosted by Kazakhstan last May.
The national team also won four other Certificates of Appreciation at the International Mathematical Olympiad held in South Africa on July 6-13.
