Doha - Arabstoday

Abu Issa Holding (AIH) and Prescient International WLL recently invited IT executives and managers to an exclusive event held at the Doha Hilton hotel. This event was an executive technology briefing on the latest system ‘Cube’ which was headed by senior IT staff coming directly from Canada in teams named Iceberg and Fusion-io. Prescient International WLL, a partner of Abu Issa Holding is the exclusive provider of the technologies. The ‘Cube’ is a fully configurable, self-contained, high-performance, secure data centre solution that stores all of a company’s data into a single small enclosure. This industry-leading appliance can exceed millions of IOPs while using 1/10th of the floor space, 1/10th of the power and costing less than comparable legacy solutions. “AIH has vested interest in creating solutions that are in line with the age of information and technology and is dedicated to the purpose of streamlining complex functions of communications, data recording and electronic computing, for businesses to increase profitability, reliability, and efficiency,” said an AIH spokesperson. The ‘Cube’ technology briefing focused on improving input or output performance using a multi-tiered approach with practical applications and solutions, which included financial transaction processing, high-speed access to database solutions, effective backup or recovery and archival or retrieval solutions. Critical criteria like high-availability, cloud-computing, disaster recovery and business resumption, threat risk management, cost of ownership and operations & management, were also discussed.
