The Security Media Department at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior has launched a marketing campaign to introduce the services offered by the MoI via smart phone applications.
Lt. Colonel Saeed Al Khajah, Deputy Director of the Security Media Department, said, "The U.A.E. MoI app embodies the strategy of the MoI in providing exceptional services that are in accordance with the best international standards, and in enhancing public confidence and customer satisfaction with the provided services." As part of the ongoing transition of the federal government for utilising smart phones, the services contribute to these continuous efforts by facilitating access for citizens and residents and save both time and effort.
Al Khajah said that the campaign will be conducted via mainstream media, social media, transport modes and on electronic screens throughout the U.A.E.. The campaign will elaborate on the services available, and provide instructions on how to use them, including where to go to subscribe on the MoI website.
Speaking about the app, he noted, "It provides an electronic link with a number of partners in the U.A.E., vehicle inspection and insurance companies, and an integrated comprehensive link to the ministry’s website. Through the unified log-in mechanism, users are able to obtain services from any channel of electronic communication. Users only need to register once using the single sign-in feature on the website or through their smart phones, and will then be able to gain access to all of the MoI’s services." The number of individuals already using the applications launched earlier this year is 205,000 to date, with an average of 54,000 uses per day of the apps, while the number of subscribers via the Emirates ID card is now 62,000.
