Yemen participates in the sixth ITU WorldTelecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-14) to be hosted in Dubai,United Arab Emirates, on30March10April2014.Uponhisdeparture,MinisterofCommunications and Information Technology Dr.Ahmed bin Daghr said that the meeting which held every four years aims toestablish work programmes and guidelines for defining telecommunicationdevelopment priorities and to provide direction and guidance for the workprogramme of the Telecommunication Development Sector (ITU-D) over the nextfour-year period.The WTDC-14 would discuss a number of issues relating to telecommunicationstopped by the high-speed Internet networks for sustainable development as well asways of reaching a fruitful international cooperation in that field, he added.Bin Daghr pointed out that he would deliver a speech at the conference ontelecommunication and the quantum leap of the information technology.He made clear that he would meet on the WTDC-14's sidelines with his Egyptian,Dutch and South Korean counterparts to discuss cooperation relations and ways topromote them in field of telecommunication and information technology.
