The forthcoming phablet could feature the metal trimming ushered in with the recently announced Galaxy Alpha. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could be next in line to sport the company's new metal design language, according to new reports.
Expected to debut September 3 at an Unpacked event for the annual IFA show in Berlin, the next-generation of Galaxy Note is shaping up to be quite the hardware monster, Cnet reported.
Specifications leaked earlier this week suggest the device could boast a 5.7-inch Quad HD (1,440-pixel) display and 4GB RAM. And, with top-of-line processors and up to 64GB of internal storage, it will be easily place itself among the most robust smartphones to date.
And should a recent Sina report be accurate, Samsung may complement those beautiful internals with something equally stunning on the outside. Allegedly, the Galaxy Note 4 could feature aspects of the new metal design approach found in the recently unveiled Galaxy Alpha.
Looking way down to next year, the Galaxy S 6 could also could boast an "all-metal design," according to rumors. We'd be surprised if Samsung didn't offer variations of its flagship models with the premium materials. It seems pointless to introduce a new series or two when the current stuff is doing well.
Ultimately, we may find that the Alpha is merely a one-off model used to introduce the new company direction; the name is certainly befitting for such an act.
Thankfully, we won't have to wait much longer to put the Galaxy Note 4 rumors to bed. The announcement is but a few weeks away, at which point we can turn our attention to the Galaxy S line again.
