Wuxi, a city in east China's Jiangsu province, is endeavoring to be the first city in the country to provide free citywide Wi-Fi service, Xinhua Daily reported. The Wuxi municipal government has signed an agreement with Shanghai Zhonglu Group Co., Ltd and Wuxi Zhongmiao Technology Co., Ltd to establish 40,000 public Wi-Fi hot spots in one and a half years on Oct. 28th, 2013. A total of 50 million yuan will be invested by private enterprises to establish the 40,000 free Wi-Fi hot spots.
