Former US President Barack Obama is having the time of his life in the Virgin Islands, where he is vacationing with billionaire tycoon Richard Branson. Videos and photos from the beach vacation show a relaxed, happy Obama waving goodbye, flying in a chopper and kite surfing.
However, the former president’s photos have divided social media, with some users commending Obama for taking a much needed break, while others not so happy, perhaps even envious and feeling left out.
One user commented: “Ahhh, he looks younger already.”
Another Tweeted: “Wait, he’s having fun? Is he allowed to have fun? Why isn’t he saving us?”
“Not that he doesn’t absolutely deserve it, but wow, Obama and I could not possibly be living more different versions of the year 2017,” posted another user.
Branson posted a video of the duo’s friendly competition to see if Obama could stay up longer on a kiteboard than Branson could on a foilboard. The ex-POTUS won and it quickly became the top trending video on YouTube.
