Twitter says Vine, its popular mobile video social network, is now available for Android users. About four months after the app allowing users to create and post 6-second looping video launched exclusively for Apple devices, Twitter released a version for Android Monday, the Los Angeles Times reported. The Android implementation of Vine doesn't include all of the same features as the version for Apple devices, such as the ability to use forward-facing cameras, include mentions and hash tags, search, receive notifications and post Vine videos to Facebook, but it has a few features iPhone owners don't get, including the ability to zoom in while shooting video. Those differences should disappear over the next few weeks, Twitter said, as the iOS and Android versions get more in sync. Vine has been a success for Twitter, garnering more than 13 million users since its introduction.
