The Marantz SR6007 is the company's "midrange" SR receiver with the same features as the high-end model but with a lower power output (110W per channel) and a simpler design. As part of Marantz's 2012 range, the SR6007 will hold users' hands during setup and will provide more connectivity than before. The receiver is joined by the 7.2-channel SR5007 ($849.99) and the 7.2-channel SR7007 ($1799.99) and will be available beginning in July. The front panel of the SR6007 bears the iconic porthole look which the company reinstated last year and includes both HDMI and USB ports (with FLAC support). A total of six HDMI inputs is standard with support for 4K video in addition to two HDMI outs (suited to 3D players). All of the new models come with Marantz's onscreen Setup Assistant, which is a step-by-step guide with language select, speaker connection and calibration instructions, plus Audyssey Dynamic Volume and Dynamic EQ settings, source setup, and other features.
