The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered $120 million to banks during an auction Tuesday.
Banking sources said today's auction was allocated only to fulfill the needs of importers of important medical products.
Tuesday's auction is of the same value as the one sold last week.
The CBE had reduced the number of weekly dollar auctions from three to one with increasing the amount of offered dollars from $40 million to $120 million per auction.
