Qatar National Bank (QNB) honoured 29 long-serving staff with 25 or more years of experience from its various departments at an event held here, the bank said Saturday.
The Groups celebration in honour of its long-serving staff coincides with its 50th anniversary as the country’s first national bank.
QNB has expanded into a leading financial institution with branches, subsidiaries, and associates covering 26 countries and nearly 600 sites around the globe, employing around 14,000 personnel in three continents.
Speaking on the occasion, QNB Group's Acting Chief Executive Officer, Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari said. "We hold this celebration in honour of our employees who have spent between 25 to 44 years of continued giving to the QNB Group, with total years of service amounting to 832 years." "In QNB, we are proud of being one big family based on loyalty, commitment, and pride. No doubt that each one of those who are being honoured is a living example of the values cherished by the Group." QNB awarded the 29 long-serving staff certificates of appreciation at the event.
The bank set up in 1964 is the country’s first Qatari-owned commercial bank. It has an ownership structure split between the Qatar Investment Authority (50%) and the private sector (50%).
