Public sector UCO Bank on Wednesday reported a 10 per cent jump in its net profit for the quarter ended December 2011 at Rs.3.33 billion from Rs.3.01 billion during the like period of 2010, a press release of the company said. The Kolkata-headquartered bank’s total income in the third quarter this fiscal stood at Rs.39.73 billion from Rs.31.08 billion during the same period a year ago, registering a growth of 27.8 per cent. Net Interest Income of the bank, however, dipped by 2.7 per cent to Rs.10.33 billion during the period under review.
