ADNOC Distribution, the sole operator of light vehicle inspection centres in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, is upgrading the information technology systems at its 21 centres across the emirate.
The one-day upgrading operation will take place on Friday, 6th October, therefore services will be suspended on that day at the four centers that usually operate on Fridays: Abu Dhabi Main Centre, Al Ain Main Centre, Mahawi Centre and Al Samha Centre, the company said today, adding that the service will resume as usual the next morning.
Highlighting the importance of the upgrade, Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, Acting CEO of ADNOC Distribution, said, "As a company, we are passionate about innovation that improves service, choice and convenience for our customers. The upgrade of our IT systems is another step forward in fulfilling that goal."
He added, "We continue to grow, and in the first eight months of this year, approximately 530,000 vehicles were processed at our vehicle inspection centers. This figure not only highlights the volume of our operations, but also encourages us to continue improving our service to cater for rising demand driven by increasing vehicle numbers."
ADNOC Distribution has a contract with Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters to perform annual light vehicle inspections in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It has twenty-one inspection centres located in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain Region and Al Dhafra Region.
