ADNOC hosts 13th Rig Owners Seminar

ADNOC Drilling, an Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, ADNOC, subsidiary, today held the 13th Rig Owners Seminar on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference, ADIPEC.

The expert seminar focused on advancing operational efficiency, resource optimisation, and cost-effectiveness in the regional drilling industry. It was attended by more than 200 professionals from the oil and gas wells drilling sector.

Abdalla Saeed Al Suwaidi, ADNOC Drilling Chief Executive Officer, said that hosting this specialised seminar, for the 13th year in a row, reflects ADNOC’s leading role in supporting collaboration among industry players in the region and contributes to the advancement and growth of the international energy sector.

The seminar has been organised annually by ADNOC Drilling since 2005, in cooperation with the international accredited classification society, DNVGL, to share best practices, and stay updated on the latest industry developments, needs and challenges. This annual event is attended by UAE, GCC, and international oil and gas drilling companies, classification societies, operating companies, rig builders, oilfield service providers, and marine and offshore firms.

ADNOC Drilling is the largest drilling company in the Middle East. In the last seven years, it has expanded its rig fleet three-fold to 94 rigs. Al Suwaidi said that maintaining one of the most modern rig fleets in the world has positioned ADNOC Drilling for future success, as one of the most efficient and successful drilling contractors in the oil and gas industry.
