Minister of Finance cum Minister in charge of Oil and Gas Affairs, H.E. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, inaugurated the Natural Gas Industry Horizons Development Conference on (Reality, Challenges and Potential Opportunities), organized by the Organizing Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) in association with the Bahrain National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) and the Gulf Petro-chemical Industries (GPIC) Company as the conference's main sponsor, attended by OAPEC's Secretary-General, Mr. Abbas Ali Naqi, official delegations from the OAPEC's member countries, guest speakers and experts in the oil and gas industry. Also, several experts from the Kingdom of Bahrain, the OAPEC and Arab countries, USA and Canada lecture at the conference. The Minister welcomed the conference in the Kingdom of Bahrain, praising the efforts of NOGA's General Directorate for OAPEC Affairs, Planning and Strategies. The conference focuses on the current situation, development trends in global gas markets, development of unconventional sources of gas in Arab countries, harnessing of natural gas, options, restrictions and strategies, transportation and usage of natural gas, natural gas processing , petrochemicals, chemical substances, fuel and environmental policies regarding energy and its impact on the gas industry.
