Caretaker Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Gebran Bassil, and American NEOS Company on Friday signed a contract on carrying out oil and gas exploration via photogeology, in presence of the US Ambassador to Lebanon, David Hale."This new contract with the US Company aims to following up on oil and gas exploration works in the Lebanese sea and land from air, "Bassil explained."This thing today is a positive and encouraging indicator since international companies have started to have interest on the Lebanese soil," he added.Bassil said a third contract would be inked soon.
