Crude oil steady after demand estimate in New York

Crude oil prices held steady in New York, holding just under $95 per barrel Wednesday morning as the market's focus turned from supply to demand. Light, sweet West Texas Intermediate crude on the New York Mercantile Exchange held at $94.99 after the Energy Information Administration's monthly report said global demand in 2014 is expected to rise by 1.3 million barrels per day. Gasoline added 0.72 cents to reach $2.6278 a gallon. Home heating oil gained 1.95 cents to settle at $3.0342 a gallon. Natural gas gained 8 cents to hit $4.51 per million British thermal units. The national average price of unleaded regular gasoline rose to $3.283 per gallon from Tuesday's $3.279, the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report said.
