Egypt signs oil exploration agreements with British firm

Egypt signed on Monday two oil and gas exploration agreements with Dana Petroleum of Britain at investments of $24 million. Under the accords, the British firm's arm in Egypt will explore oil and gas in two concessions in western Dakhla in the Western Desert. It will also drill four exploration wells. The agreements were inked by Oil Minister Sherif Ismail and Dana-Egypt chairman Paul Barrn.
